About Chantel Chapman
Chantel Chapman is the founder of Holler for Your Dollar, a company focused on delivering financial literacy education services and support to young adults. For over 4 years, Chantel has volunteered her time to teach educational programs to organizations including: Junior Achievement, The Boys Club Network and high schools throughout BC. Chantel is also the Director of Education and Marketing at Zilla Mortgage Corporation. She has been a mortgage broker for 9 years. Chantel is In the process of writing a financial literacy book for teens and young adults to be published in 2014. Stay tuned.
About Sam Perera
Sam Perera is Chief Financial Officer for institute B responsible for structuring, negotiation, monitoring transactions related to liquidity events, day-to-day cash flow management and budgeting for partner companies. Before institute B, Sam was a co-founder of LFG and held senior finance roles at HSBC Bank Canada, BMO Bank of Montreal and Noverra Capital Partners. Deal experience includes mergers & acquisitions financing, cash flow lending, hybrid debt products, construction financing, expansion capital, mezzanine financing and the public markets.
Sam has an MBA in Finance from the Sauder School of Business and is also designated as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
About David Fong
David Fong is Controller for institute B responsible for business planning, financial modeling, regulatory compliance and business valuations, while leading all accounting engagements. Prior to institute B, Dave was a professional staff accountant at BDO Canada LLP. During his tenure there, he gained valuable experience leading audit teams under IFRS, Canadian and US GAAP for public multi-national clients in a variety of industries including mining, oil & gas, technology, manufacturing and real-estate. Dave is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Honours Degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of British Columbia.
